Freedom of the Seas food blog part 2

Day 3 on  Freedom of the Seas

Cruise food for you continues with even more food. Why....cause that is one of the top reasons people cruise. Here are more pics of food from Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas.

The water in Aruba

The Menu for main dining

Crab cake w/ aioli
Really recommend this. It is delicious. Everyone at the table loved this.

The beef strip loin tonight was excellent as well.

The scary ravioli
Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli

Moroccan Spiced Ahi Tuna

Main dining was delicious as always.
Dining tip - Try and get a table close to the gallery as your food can be delivered easier and faster.

Day 4 on Freedom of the Seas

Did you know Jonny Rockets is on the ship?  It's an $11 cover charge for anything off the menu except milkshakes and floats. That means u can get a burger, fries, onion rings, salad, hot dog and whatever else you want. Cheese fries anyone? It's good food so go hungry.

Main Dining Room food...
Tagliatelle Pesto Pasta
This was a little dry, but the sundried tomatoes on it were delicious and the pasta was flavorful.

Steak Diane was delicious. It was cooked as you wanted and had good flavor. You can always ask for horse radish as well.

Chicken Parmeson was moist and flavorful.  This is a good choice for those chicken lovers.

The
Garlic Tiger Shrimp
They are flavorful and delicious as well. Some were a little dry, but overall tasty. A tip for getting them deshelled is to grab the tail, squeeze and the pull the shrimp out.

As always dessert is served at the end. I would recommend the Grand Marnier Souffle.

Day 5 Freedom of the Seas

Day 6

Tonight was the second formal night
That means lobster is on the menu!

The chefs all were acknowledged tonight.

Prime Rib with mashed potatoes, gravy, and vegatables.

Gnocchi with beef rague

Lobster Tail #1

Lobster Tail #2
Yes, you can have more than 1

Chocolate molten cake

Creme Brulee

Baked Alaskan

Day 7

Coconut shrimp...
They did not really have a great coconut flavor. At least not like the coconut shrimp I have tried in other places.

Vegetable Korma

Carbonara
This was pretty good. The flavor was full and noodles were perfect

Battered Cod
This was pretty good, but one piece was over cooked or not done properly.

Turkey Dinner

This is usually a favorite on the last night. It was good, but the stuffing left something to be desired.

So....after this meal we went to Sabor. This is a restaurant that has a charge for it. Here is a little preview of what we had there.

Calamari was delicious

The fondue was not that great. The cheese was too thick.

Red Snapper ceviche was good this time. In the past it has been a little fishy.

This is the number one appetizer...the bacon jalapeno wrapped chicken. It's the best.

Chicken Flautus were not that great. They lacked flavor I. The chicken.

The quesadillas are very good. The portabella mushroom is delicious.

Home made tableside guac was okay. It lacked the line and salt flavor.

Tuna tacos were fabulous.

These shrimp were very delicious and flavorful.

The beef burritos...yes these are the burritos...were very good and yes we ordered more of them.

I hope you have enjoyed this food blog from Freedom of the Seas by Royal Caribbean. Hopefully it helps to give you a sense of the food on board before you cruise.

The cruise was out of Puerto Rico and sailed to Aruba, Curaco, St. Kitts, and St. Marteen.

Thanks to all who contributed.
